Anti-Mesothelin Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets human mesothelin (MSLN), a GPI-anchored ~40 kDa cell-surface glycoprotein that is normally expressed at low levels on mesothelial cells lining the pleura, peritoneum, and pericardium. Mesothelin becomes overexpressed in malignant mesothelioma, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, ovarian carcinoma, and a subset of lung adenocarcinomas, where the ~31 kDa soluble fragment is shed and detectable in serum as a tumor-associated marker used in diagnostic pathology and translational oncology research.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, the antibody is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit and is intended for research use only. It supports characterization of native mesothelin in cell lysates and in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, enabling studies of tissue-specific expression, biomarker validation, and target assessment for antibody-drug conjugate and adoptive cell therapy development programs.

For handling, aliquot on receipt and store refrigerated at 4 °C to preserve activity; protect from repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Short-term equilibration at room temperature is acceptable during assay setup.
