The recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody targeting MerTK (Mer tyrosine kinase) from Antibodies.com is a research-grade reagent developed for studies of efferocytosis, innate immune regulation, and TAM-receptor signaling. MerTK is a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase expressed on macrophages, dendritic cells, and other professional phagocytes, where it mediates the recognition and engulfment of apoptotic cells, a process central to tissue homeostasis, resolution of inflammation, and modulation of the immune response.

Produced in rabbit using recombinant monoclonal technology, this unconjugated antibody recognizes the human MerTK protein and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation workflows. Recombinant production supports lot-to-lot consistency and helps minimize background binding compared with conventional polyclonal reagents. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot in TBS buffer (pH 7.4) containing 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, allowing direct dilution into standard assay buffers and refrigerated storage without loss of binding activity.

Investigators studying cancer biology, autoimmune disease mechanisms, cardiovascular pathology, and retinal pigment epithelial biology rely on MerTK detection to characterize phagocyte function and TAM-receptor crosstalk. The unconjugated format provides flexibility to conjugate the antibody to fluorophores, biotin, or enzymes, or to deploy it directly in chromogenic IHC, immunoblotting, and pull-down assays on human samples.
