The Anti-MEN1 polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit-derived reagent raised against menin, the nuclear tumor suppressor encoded by the MEN1 gene on chromosome 11q13. This unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human samples, where it recognizes the full-length ~68 kDa menin protein.

Menin is broadly expressed in endocrine and non-endocrine tissues, where it serves as a scaffold for transcriptional regulators, partners with the MLL/SET1 histone methyltransferase complex, and contributes to DNA damage repair and cell-cycle control. Loss-of-function germline mutations underlie Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 1 (Wermer syndrome), an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by parathyroid adenomas, pancreatic and duodenal neuroendocrine tumors, and anterior pituitary adenomas.

Investigators in endocrine oncology, chromatin biology, and genome stability use this reagent to probe endogenous menin levels in cultured cell lysates and to localize expression in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, the antibody should be aliquoted on arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles and stored refrigerated to preserve performance across multiple experiments.
