Anti-MEL-1B-R Antibody

From the Antibodies.com catalogue, this research-grade reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against MEL-1B-R (also known as Mel1b receptor, Melatonin receptor type 1B, and MTNR1B). It is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot of liquid formulated in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, at a concentration of 1 mg/mL, and is unconjugated for maximum flexibility in downstream labelling. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, namely a synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminal region of the human MEL-1B-R protein, and it is intended to detect endogenous levels of the target. Validated applications are ELISA and Western Blot, with representative WB data shown on HepG2, HeLa and A549 cell lysates, and the reagent is confirmed to be reactive with human samples. The host species is rabbit and the clonality is polyclonal, supporting broad epitope coverage. Storage and handling instructions are straightforward: the antibody is shipped at 4 °C and, upon receipt, should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. As a polyclonal, the isotype reflects the native rabbit immunoglobulin repertoire raised against the immunogen.
