Anti-MEK1 (P293) Antibody

Raised in rabbit and distributed by Antibodies.com, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody recognizes MEK1, also known as MAP2K1 or MKK1, a dual-specificity protein kinase that occupies a central position in the RAS-RAF-MEK-ERK signal transduction cascade. By phosphorylating ERK1 and ERK2 on threonine and tyrosine residues, MEK1 couples mitogenic and stress signals to downstream MAPK pathway activation. The reagent has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry and detects the target in human, mouse, and rat samples.

Supplied as 50 µl of liquid in a vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. For storage, refrigerate and protect from light to preserve antibody integrity, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the working aliquot. Optimal dilutions should be determined empirically for each application; common diluent choices include PBS supplemented with carrier protein or a commercial antibody buffer.
