Anti-MEK1 (Ab-291) Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com as a ready-to-use research reagent, this affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against a synthetic peptide spanning residues 289–293 (P-R-T-P-G) of human MEK1, allowing it to recognize the endogenous total MEK1 protein (MAP2K1) without phosphorylation-state bias. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µL liquid at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and it is shipped at 4 °C for short-term stability; for long-term use, aliquots should be stored at –20 °C with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. It is unconjugated and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, with cross-reactivity confirmed in human, mouse and rat samples. Purification is performed by affinity chromatography on an epitope-specific peptide, which contributes to clean detection of the ~45 kDa MEK1 target in lysates such as HepG2 and PC12 as well as in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
