Anti-MEF2A (phospho T312) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com designed for phosphorylation-state-specific detection of myocyte enhancer factor 2A at threonine 312. The antibody was raised against a synthetic phospho-peptide spanning the L-A-T(p)-P-V motif corresponding to amino acids 279-328 of human MEF2A (UniProt Q02078, Gene ID 4205), and affinity-purified over the immunizing phospho-peptide to retain strict dependence on the modification while reducing non-phospho background. It detects endogenous MEF2A only when Thr312 is phosphorylated, producing a predicted band near 54 kDa on western blots.

Validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) on paraffin sections at 1:50-1:100 and indirect immunofluorescence (IF) at 1:100-1:200, the reagent shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat specimens. Researchers routinely apply it to monitor MEF2A pathway activation in cardiac hypertrophy models, myogenic differentiation of skeletal muscle progenitors, excitotoxic neuronal stress responses, and endothelial inflammation studies. The polyclonal response provides multi-epitope coverage around the phospho-T312 motif, improving tolerance for modest sample variation without compromising modification-specificity.
