Anti-MEF2a (Ab-312) Antibody

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against the MEF2A transcription factor and targets an epitope encompassing residues310–314 (L-A-T-P-V) of the human protein. Presented as a 50 µl liquid at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated antibody is recommended for Western blotting at 1:500–1:1000 and for immunohistochemistry at 1:50–1:100. It has been validated for reactivity with human, mouse and rat samples and detects endogenous levels of total MEF2A, making it suitable for studies of muscle and neuronal differentiation, cardiac gene regulation and stress-response signalling. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from human MEF2A around threonine 312, and antibodies were purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen; the host isotype is Rabbit IgG. The product is shipped at 4 °C and, upon receipt, should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve performance.
