Anti-MEF-2 Antibody

Offered through the Antibodies.com catalogue, this research-grade reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against myocyte enhancer factor 2 (MEF-2), supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at a working concentration of 1 mg/ml in a liquid PBS buffer containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. The unconjugated IgG preparation has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography, using a synthetic peptide derived from the human MEF-2 sequence flanking the non-phosphorylation site at serine 408, and it specifically detects endogenous levels of MEF-2 across human, mouse and rat samples. Validated application areas include ELISA, Western blot (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), making it well suited to expression profiling and tissue-localisation studies. The antibody is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored long term at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve performance; the product is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
