Raised in rabbit against the MED29 subunit of the human Mediator complex, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com enables detection of MED29 by Western blot across human, mouse, and rat samples. The immunogen-derived polyclonal reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, and is packaged in a 100 µl vial.

MED29, also known as IXL, is a component of the Mediator multiprotein coactivator complex that bridges transcription factors with RNA polymerase II. Antibodies that recognize this subunit are widely used to study transcriptional regulation, gene expression programs, and Mediator complex assembly in cell and tissue lysates. The unconjugated format allows laboratories to pair the reagent with their preferred HRP- or fluorescent-conjugated secondary antibodies, supporting chemiluminescent or fluorescence-based Western blot readouts.

For short-term storage keep refrigerated; aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light during handling. Each batch is validated for immunoblotting on whole-cell extracts under standard reducing SDS-PAGE protocols.
