Raised in rabbit against the MED28 subunit of the mammalian Mediator complex, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com supports transcription and chromatin research by western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. MED28 (also called EG1 and magicin) bridges transcriptional activators to RNA polymerase II and has been investigated in cytoskeletal regulation, cell proliferation, and signal transduction, with altered expression reported in breast and lung cancer cell line studies. Originally identified in neural progenitor cells, the protein is a focus of neurodevelopment work as well as oncology screens.
