Anti-MED22 Antibody

Offered through Antibodies.com as a primary research antibody, this polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against Mediator complex subunit 22 (MED22, also known as SURF5 / Surfeit locus protein 5), a ~22 kDa nuclear subunit of the RNA polymerase II Mediator complex that functions as a coactivator bridging gene-specific regulators with the basal Pol II transcription machinery. The antibody is supplied as an unconjugated IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, presented in a 50 µl volume. It has been tested for Western blot application with a recommended dilution range of 1:500–1:1,000, detects endogenous levels of MED22, and is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum to >95% purity by SDS-PAGE. The antibody is raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human MED22 and cross-reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, making it suitable for comparative studies across these species. For stability, the product should be stored at 4 °C for short-term use and aliquoted for long-term storage at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
