Anti-MECOM Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets the MECOM protein (also known as EVI-1, PRDM3, KMT8E, MDS1 and MDS1-EVI1), a histone-lysine N-methyltransferase implicated in myelodysplastic syndromes and leukaemogenesis. The reagent is supplied as an unconjugated IgG at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL vial, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 with 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as stabiliser. The immunogen is a recombinant human MECOM protein, and the antibody has been affinity-purified against the immunogen to ensure selective binding to the endogenous target. Validated applications are Western blotting (recommended dilution range 1:500–1:2000) and immunohistochemistry on tissue sections (1:50–1:200), with reactivity confirmed against human samples only. The product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival for storage at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
