MDMX (also called MDM4 or HDMX) is a key negative regulator of the p53 tumor suppressor pathway and a p53 transcriptional target, forming an autoregulatory feedback loop that is frequently disrupted in cancer. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against MDMX and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows. It detects the human protein and cross-reacts with mouse and rat orthologs, supporting comparative studies across species and tissue types.
The antibody is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot of polyclonal serum from a rabbit host, unconjugated for flexible pairing with secondary detection reagents. Polyclonal reactivity toward multiple epitopes on MDMX supports recognition of the protein across applications where splice variants or post-translational modifications may influence binding. Typical uses include profiling MDMX expression in tumor cell lines and tissue sections, mapping its subcellular distribution, and investigating how MDMX overexpression contributes to inactivation of the p53 axis in oncogenesis research.
