This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against mitochondrial malate dehydrogenase (MDH2), a TCA-cycle enzyme that reversibly converts malate to oxaloacetate using NAD+/NADH cofactors. It is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready for dilution into standard immunodetection workflows.

The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples. Because MDH2 resides in the mitochondrial matrix, the reagent is commonly used to confirm mitochondrial enrichment in subcellular fractionations, to compare metabolic enzyme expression across tissues, and to probe TCA-cycle involvement in models of cancer metabolism, metabolic disease, and neurodegeneration.

Each vial should be stored refrigerated; the 50% glycerol content protects activity through routine freeze-thaw cycling, and small aliquots are recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw events. The unconjugated format allows researchers to pair the antibody with their preferred reporter or bead system, including HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor, or quantum-dot labels, depending on the detection chemistry required by the assay.
