Anti-MDH1 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com and distributed through AFMS, this affinity-purified reagent is a polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against human malate dehydrogenase 1 (MDH1, also known as cytosolic malate dehydrogenase), the NAD-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the reversible oxidation of malate to oxaloacetate in the citric acid cycle. The unconjugated preparation is supplied at a working concentration of 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and the 50 µL vial is shipped under standard cold-chain conditions; for long-term use the antibody should be stored at -20 °C and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. By Western blot the reagent detects endogenous levels of total MDH1 protein in lysates from human, mouse and rat samples, and the lot is released with an estimated purity of greater than 95% following antigen-affinity purification. Intended strictly for research use only, the antiserum is validated for Western blotting in routine cell-biology and metabolism workflows, where it can be paired with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies to visualise the ~37 kDa MDH1 monomer.
