Affinity-purified polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets microspherule protein 1 (MCRS1), a centrosome- and nucleolus-associated factor implicated in ribosomal biogenesis, mitosis, and regulation of the innate immune response. Raised in rabbit, the antibody is supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation in a 100 µL volume and has been validated for western blot detection of endogenous MCRS1 in human and mouse lysates.

MCRS1 (also referred to in the literature as MSP58) participates in pre-rRNA processing and localizes to pericentriolar material during cell division, making it a useful marker in studies of centrosome maturation, nucleolar dynamics, and signaling downstream of innate immune pathways. The reactivity profile covers endogenous MCRS1 in both human and murine systems, supporting comparative work across cultured cell lines and primary tissue. Reducing SDS-PAGE followed by transfer to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes is the standard workflow, with the unconjugated format allowing flexible pairing with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies.

For handling, the preparation should be stored frozen to preserve activity; long-term stability is maintained at -20 °C, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. This reagent serves research use only applications in cell biology, including investigations of ribosome assembly, mitotic checkpoint regulation, and the cellular response to viral infection.
