Anti-MCPH1 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody recognizes MCPH1 (Microcephalin 1), a nuclear protein originally linked to autosomal recessive primary microcephaly and now widely studied as an early DNA damage response regulator. MCPH1 helps recruit BRCA1 and CHK1 to damage foci, controls the G2/M checkpoint, and contributes to chromosome condensation during mitosis, so the reagent is used to monitor expression of this regulator in neurodevelopmental and DNA repair research.

The antibody is supplied as an unconjugated preparation in 200 µl volume, raised in rabbit hosts, with reactivity confirmed against human and mouse MCPH1. Validated for Western Blot detection on whole-cell lysates, it supports expression analysis across human cell lines and mouse tissue samples, including brain and proliferating progenitor populations where MCPH1 levels are commonly tracked.
