MCM6 is one of six subunits (MCM2 through MCM7) of the replicative helicase that unwinds parental DNA duplexes ahead of the replication fork during S phase, and Antibodies.com supplies this rabbit polyclonal reagent as an unconjugated, affinity-purified preparation raised against the full-length human protein. The antibody is provided in 100 µl aliquots (vial format) and is validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows against samples from Human, Mouse, and Rat origin, making it a useful tool for replication-licensing studies, cell-cycle analyses across mammalian model systems, and investigations of MCM6 overexpression in proliferative disorders such as cervical, breast, and colorectal carcinomas.

Because MCM6 expression is restricted largely to cells that have re-entered the cycle, the target is frequently paired with Ki-67 in pathology and stem-cell research to distinguish dividing from quiescent populations. Researchers performing immunoblotting typically load 20–40 µg of whole-cell lysate per lane and detect the ~93 kDa band with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, while the unconjugated format here also permits custom biotin or fluorophore labelling for multiplexed imaging. The polyclonal nature of the reagent provides coverage of multiple epitopes, which improves tolerance to minor denaturation differences between sample preparations.

Storage is recommended at –20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze–thaw cycles; briefly returning the vial to 4 °C is appropriate for short-term working stocks. The reagent is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
