Generated in mouse and purified as a polyclonal IgG, this unconjugated reagent from Antibodies.com binds the mCherry red fluorescent protein, enabling detection of mCherry-tagged fusion constructs. mCherry is a monomeric fluorescent variant derived from DsRed that is routinely expressed as a reporter tag to track protein localization, trafficking, and complex formation in live and fixed cells.

Supplied at 100 µl, the antibody is validated for Western Blot (WB) and Immunofluorescence (IF). Typical uses include confirming expression of an mCherry fusion on immunoblots, counterstaining fixed cells alongside GFP or other fluorophores, and localizing tagged proteins in tissue sections. Because it is unconjugated, researchers can pair it with a secondary antibody of their choice for fluorescence or enzymatic readout.

The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes on mCherry, which improves tolerance to small tag variations and supports consistent signal across applications. Refrigerated storage is recommended for working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve performance. For research use only.
