Anti-MCFD2 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets MCFD2 (Multiple coagulation factor deficiency protein 2, also annotated under the aliases F5F8D, LMAN1IP and SDNSF), a soluble luminal EF-hand protein that forms a calcium-dependent cargo receptor complex with LMAN1/ERGIC-53 and mediates transport of coagulation factors V and VIII from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. The antibody is supplied as 50 µl of an unconjugated IgG-class polyclonal antiserum at a concentration of 1 mg/ml, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. It is raised in rabbit host and has been validated by the supplier for Western blot (WB) applications, with reactivity confirmed against human and rat samples. The target, MCFD2, plays a role in the ERGIC trafficking pathway and is associated with combined factor V and factor VIII deficiency (F5F8D), a rare autosomal recessive bleeding disorder.
