Anti-MCAM Antibody

The polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets MCAM (also designated CD146), a glycosylated transmembrane immunoglobulin-superfamily protein widely used as a marker for endothelial cells, pericytes, and a subpopulation of mesenchymal stem cells. Raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat specimens. Investigators apply it in studies of angiogenesis, vascular remodeling, tumor vasculature, melanoma cell adhesion signaling, and pericyte coverage of microvessels.
