Anti-MBTPS2 Antibody

Produced in Rabbit, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes MBTPS2, the membrane-bound transcription factor site-2 protease also known as S2P, a Golgi-resident zinc metalloprotease that performs regulated intramembrane proteolysis of substrates including SREBP and ATF6. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide, adjusted to approximately pH 7.3, and is validated for Western blot detection of MBTPS2 in Human and Mouse samples. Each 100 µl vial supports investigations into cholesterol biosynthesis control, ER stress responses, and rare dermatological disorders such as IFAP syndrome and Olmsted syndrome that arise from inherited MBTPS2 mutations, making the reagent useful for studies of lipid metabolism, unfolded protein response signaling, and genotype-phenotype analysis of skin disease.
