Anti-MBP Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against Myelin Basic Protein (MBP), supplied by Antibodies.com. The antibody is unconjugated, of IgG isotype, and has been validated for Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) applications. It reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 80–165 of human Myelin Basic Protein (NP_001020272.1), and the target protein has a reported molecular weight of 12–18 kDa. The antibody is provided as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% thiomersal, and is purified by affinity chromatography. The concentration is lot-specific.

Recommended working dilutions are WB 1:500–1:1,000, IHC 1:50–1:200, and ICC/IF 1:50–1:200. The product is shipped at 4°C; upon receipt, it should be aliquoted and stored at –20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
