Anti-MB Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against MB (myoglobin) and supplied as an unconjugated, affinity-purified preparation at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in the 50 µl pack size. The antibody is generated by immunising rabbits with a recombinant human MB protein and detects the endogenous total MB protein in samples from human, mouse, and rat origins. Validated applications are Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry / immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), making it suitable for studies of myoglobin expression in cardiac and skeletal muscle research. The formulation is a phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The product is shipped at 4 °C for cold-chain integrity, after which it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity. As a polyclonal reagent from a rabbit host, the immunoglobulin class is IgG, and the unconjugated format allows researchers to pair it with their preferred labelled secondary antibody, such as the compatible goat anti-rabbit IgG HRP, FITC, biotin, or AP conjugates also available through the Antibodies.com catalogue.
