Target this phospho-specific reagent toward MAX phosphorylation studies in human cell and tissue samples. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against a phosphorylated serine 11 epitope on the MAX transcription factor, enabling selective detection of the modified form in Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows. The unconjugated immunoglobulin is supplied at 1 mg/ml in 100 µl aliquots of PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a buffer combination that tolerates refrigerated storage and short-term benchtop handling.
Intended for research use only, this polyclonal reagent is reactive with human MAX and supports investigations of MYC-MAX network signaling, transcriptional regulation by the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper (bHLH-LZ) family, and phosphorylation dynamics in cell proliferation or differentiation models. A polyclonal recognition profile covering multiple epitopes around the phospho-S11 site is useful when tracking modification-state changes driven by kinase activity, growth factor stimulation, or cellular stress.
The unconjugated format allows flexible downstream labeling with horseradish peroxidase, fluorophore conjugates, or biotinylation chemistries selected by the end user. Store refrigerated and protect from light to preserve activity; the 50% glycerol component offers freeze-thaw tolerance for typical laboratory handling. Avoid sodium azide in downstream steps where azide-sensitive enzymes or live-cell readouts are involved.
In a typical phospho-specific workflow, pair the antibody with appropriate controls expressing wild-type or S11-substituted MAX, and confirm specificity by lambda-phosphatase treatment of lysates, which should abolish the phospho-S11 signal on the membrane or in fixed cells.
