MAT2B (methionine adenosyltransferase 2B) is the regulatory beta subunit that associates with MAT2A to modulate S-adenosylmethionine biosynthesis in the methionine cycle. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against MAT2B and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human and mouse samples. The antibody is supplied as 200 µl of polyclonal serum in a single vial for detection of endogenous MAT2B expression in cell and tissue lysates. MAT2B research spans liver biology, where MAT2B/MAT2A signaling influences hepatocyte proliferation, as well as leukemia and solid tumor studies where altered SAM pools contribute to epigenetic dysregulation and altered methylation capacity. The unconjugated format allows flexible secondary antibody pairing for chromogenic immunohistochemistry or fluorescence detection, and is also compatible with HRP-based western blot protocols in basic research use.
