MAST2 (Microtubule-Associated Serine/Threonine Kinase 2) is a large cytoplasmic kinase of roughly 190 kDa that links microtubule architecture to phosphoinositide signaling by phosphorylating PTEN at its C-terminal regulatory cluster, thereby restraining PI3K/Akt output in resting cells. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against MAST2 and detects the endogenous kinase in human, rat, and mouse lysates by Western blot, supporting work on cytoskeletal remodeling, neuronal signaling, and mast-cell-associated inflammatory pathways.

Supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, the polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the protein — useful where post-translational modification or alternative splicing might obscure a single recognition site. The reagent is intended for immunoblotting of whole-cell or tissue lysates after standard SDS-PAGE and transfer to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes.

For handling, refrigerate on receipt and protect from light; for storage beyond two weeks, aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles that degrade IgG binding. The included sodium azide serves as a preservative, so diluted working solutions remain stable for repeated probing sessions. This Primary Antibody is intended for research use only and provides a reliable tool for interrogating MAST2 family kinase biology, PTEN regulation, and downstream pathway analysis.
