This polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets MASP1 (Mannan-Binding Lectin Serine Protease 1), a serine protease central to the lectin complement activation pathway. Raised in rabbit and supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated antibody in a single-use vial, it is validated for western blot detection of MASP1 in samples derived from human, mouse, and rat origins. The polyclonal format enables recognition of multiple epitopes on the MASP1 polypeptide, supporting studies of full-length protein and activation fragments generated during complement cascade triggering.

MASP1 autoactivates upon MBL–ficolin complex engagement and subsequently cleaves MASP2, driving downstream C4 and C2 deposition, so researchers investigating lectin-pathway-driven inflammation, infection models, or complement-related disease states commonly probe MASP1 expression in tissue and cell lysates. The unconjugated IgG formulation offers flexibility for pairing with HRP, fluorescent, or biotinylated secondary reagents chosen by the end user, which is helpful when a single primary antibody must serve multiple blot workflows. Refrigerated storage preserves binding activity between uses, and aliquoting upon arrival limits freeze-thaw cycles on the working stock.
