Anti-MASP1 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets MASP1, a serine protease central to the lectin pathway of the complement system and innate immunity. MASP1 circulates in serum complexed with mannose-binding lectin and related pattern-recognition molecules, where it cleaves MASP2 and C2 to drive complement activation downstream. The antibody is raised in rabbit and purified as an IgG preparation, supplied unconjugated in a 200 µl vial for Western blot detection of human, mouse, and rat samples.

The lectin pathway has been linked to ischemic injury, coagulation crosstalk, and innate immune surveillance, making detection of endogenous MASP1 protein levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates a routine research application. This reagent enables tracking of MASP1 expression in liver tissue, plasma-derived fractions, and disease-model tissues across the three species listed. Short-term refrigerated storage is recommended, with aliquoting on first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the IgG preparation.
