Offered through Antibodies.com and distributed by AFMS, this primary polyclonal reagent is a rabbit-derived IgG antibody raised against a synthesized peptide corresponding to the internal region of human MARK1 / 2 / 3 / 4, enabling broad recognition of the MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase family (also known by the synonyms KIAA1477, Par-1c, PAR1 homolog c, MARK, and Serine/threonine-protein kinase MARK1). The unconjugated preparation is supplied as a 50 µl liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide at a working concentration of 1 mg/mL, and the antibody has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography to detect endogenous levels of the target. Validated applications include ELISA, Western Blotting (WB), Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and the reagent has been confirmed to react with human, mouse and rat samples. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Intended strictly for research use, the polyclonal antibody is a versatile choice for laboratories studying microtubule-associated phosphorylation signalling across multiple model species.
