Anti-MARCKS (Phospho-Ser158) Antibody

Affinity-purified polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the MARCKS protein phosphorylated at serine 158, raised in rabbit against a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to the sequence around this modification site (R-F-S(p)-F-K) derived from human MARCKS. The unconjugated reagent reacts with human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence applications. It recognises endogenous MARCKS only when serine 158 is phosphorylated.

The antibody is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It is produced by immunising rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates and purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific phosphopeptide, with non-phospho-specific antibodies removed by chromatography against the non-phosphopeptide. The product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
