This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets MAPRE2, a microtubule plus-end tracking protein that regulates mitotic spindle orientation, chromosome alignment, and microtubule dynamics during cell division. The reagent is supplied as a 200 µL vial of unconjugated IgG, raised in rabbit, and validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

MAPRE2, also known as EB2, belongs to the RP/EB family of end-binding proteins and has been linked to neuronal development, with reported variants in the MAPRE2 gene associated with hereditary facial palsy, ptosis, and velopharyngeal dysfunction. Laboratories studying cytoskeletal organization, cell cycle control, and neurodevelopmental disease use this reagent to probe endogenous protein expression in fixed cells and tissue sections.

For best results, aliquot upon arrival and store at -20 °C in a frost-free freezer; limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes on MAPRE2, which is helpful for detecting denatured targets on Western blot membranes. Pair with an appropriate HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibody based on the chosen detection method.
