Raised in rabbit against the N218 epitope region of MAPKAPK-2, this polyclonal primary antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 50 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. The reagent is unconjugated and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows using human, mouse, and rat samples.
MAPKAPK-2 (also called MK2) is a serine/threonine kinase acting downstream of p38 MAPK. It is phosphorylated on regulatory residues including Thr222, Ser272, and Thr334, and contributes to inflammatory cytokine production, cell-cycle checkpoint signaling, and the cellular response to genotoxic stress. Detection of the N218 region supports tracking of total MAPKAPK-2 protein in basic and translational research, including studies of innate immunity, post-translational signaling cascades, and tissue injury responses.
