Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent, this unconjugated primary antibody recognizes MAPK15 (Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase 15), the atypical ERK7/8-family serine/threonine kinase. It is supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide, adjusted to approximately pH 7.3, and the 100 µl vial supports multiple western blot experiments against human, mouse, and rat samples.

MAPK15 is the focus of active investigation in autophagy regulation, ER stress signaling, and the cell-cycle roles of less-characterized MAPK family members. Studies in tumor biology have examined its reported tumor-suppressor function in hepatocellular carcinoma and a proposed role in protecting neurons under oxidative challenge. Because the protein is expressed at comparatively low levels in many tissues, antibody-based detection generally requires careful titration on whole-cell lysates.

Standard applications include western blot analysis of MAPK15 in cell lines such as HeLa and HEK293, where a band near the predicted molecular weight of approximately 60 kDa is expected. The unconjugated format allows the antibody to be paired with any HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagent, giving flexibility for chemiluminescent or fluorescent detection workflows. Store refrigerated; protect from light and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve polyclonal activity.
