This phosphorylation-specific polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com selectively recognizes MAPK14 (p38α mitogen-activated protein kinase) when phosphorylated at tyrosine 322, a residue within the C-terminal lobe of the kinase that has been reported as an autophosphorylation site. MAPK14 is a stress- and cytokine-activated serine/threonine kinase central to inflammatory signaling, apoptosis, and cell-cycle regulation, and phospho-state-specific antibodies are routinely used to monitor pathway activation in cellular models. The antibody is raised in rabbit, isotype IgG, supplied unconjugated in a 100 µl volume, and has been validated on human and mouse samples in Western blot and immunofluorescence. Typical workflows include stimulating cultured cells with stressors such as anisomycin, sorbitol, or TNF-α to drive p38α activation, then comparing basal versus induced phospho-Y322 signal by Western blot, or localizing the activated kinase by immunofluorescence. The reagent is intended for research use only; aliquoting upon arrival is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles, with refrigerated storage for short-term use and -20 °C for longer-term preservation of phospho-epitope binding. Compatible with Human and Mouse reactivity and unconjugated for flexible secondary-antibody choice, this polyclonal supports studies of innate immunity, oxidative stress responses, and disease models in which dysregulated p38 MAPK signaling is implicated.
