Anti-MAPK13 Antibody

Raised in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent against MAPK13, this antibody from Antibodies.com targets the p38 delta isoform of the mitogen-activated protein kinase family, also referred to as SAPK4 or stress-activated protein kinase 4. Members of the p38 MAP kinase subfamily respond to environmental stress, inflammatory cytokines, and osmotic shock, and p38 delta (MAPK13) has been studied in skeletal muscle differentiation, cardiac stress responses, keratinocyte inflammation, and signaling downstream of TNF and IL-1.

The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated format allows researchers to couple it to their own fluorophore or horseradish peroxidase depending on the detection chemistry their assay requires. Common uses include probing phosphorylation-dependent stress signaling, mapping tissue distribution of MAPK13 by IHC, and confirming expression changes in cell culture models of inflammation or differentiation.

Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody, sufficient for many western blot or IHC experiments. Storage at -20 °C in working aliquots is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the glycerol-containing buffer, and the sodium azide acts as a preservative for short-term use at 4 °C.
