The polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets MAP2K4 (also called MKK4 or SEK1), a dual-specificity kinase that phosphorylates JNK and p38 MAPK cascades during cellular stress responses. Supplied at 100 µl of unconjugated rabbit IgG, it is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation on human, mouse, and rat samples.

MAP2K4 acts as a tier-two regulator of inflammation, apoptosis, and developmental signaling, and is frequently probed in studies of tumor suppression, hepatocarcinogenesis, and neuronal injury models. The unconjugated format allows researchers to pair it with HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-labeled secondary antibodies for chromogenic, fluorescent, or affinity-based detection, and to optimize antibody dilutions for fixed tissue sections or whole-cell lysates.

For handling, aliquot the vial to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 °C; short-term working stocks can be kept refrigerated at 4 °C. Provided for research use only as a liquid reagent ready for dilution into standard blocking buffers.
