Anti-MAP2K3 (phospho S189) Antibody - Identical to Abcam (ab131283) and Novus (NB100-82048)

A phospho-selective rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the region surrounding Ser189 of human MAP2K3 (also called MKK3 or MEK3), conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin. Because S189 lies within the activation loop of this dual-specificity kinase, the reagent reports on activation of the p38 MAPK stress-response cascade triggered by inflammatory cytokines, osmotic shock, oxidative stress, and related cellular insults.

In western blot, the antibody detects the expected ~39-53 kDa MAP2K3 species in HeLa lysates, with a recommended working dilution of 1:500 to 1:1000 and a higher-molecular-weight band near 120 kDa often observed under reducing conditions. For IHC-P, suggested dilution is 1:50 to 1:100, and for ICC/IF, 1:100 to 1:200. PMA-treated HeLa extracts are commonly used as a positive control to confirm pathway activation.
