Anti-MAP2K2 Antibody

The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets MAP2K2, the dual-specificity kinase also called MEK2 that sits in the RAS/MAPK cascade just upstream of ERK1 and ERK2. Raised in rabbit and purified as an IgG preparation supplied unconjugated in a 50 µl vial, it is intended for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows against the endogenous human, mouse, and rat protein. The antibody is reactive across these three species, giving labs flexibility to cross-check pathway activity in cultured human cell lines, murine tissue sections, and rat model samples on the same blot. Because MEK2 is itself activated by phosphorylation at Ser222 and partners with MEK1 to propagate mitogenic and stress signals, this reagent is commonly used to probe pathway status in signaling studies, oncology research into RAS-driven tumors, and developmental work on cardio-facio-cutaneous and related RASopathies.
