Anti-Map2 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targeting MAP2 (Microtubule-associated protein 2), supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation in liquid form. The target protein has a reported molecular weight of 220–280 kDa, corresponding to the high molecular weight MAP2A and MAP2B isoforms. The antibody has been affinity purified and is formulated in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% thiomersal. The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 1–118 of human MAP2 (NP_002365.3).

Validated for use in Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence on human, mouse and rat samples. Recommended starting dilutions are WB 1:100–1:500, IHC 1:50–1:200 and ICC/IF 1:50–1:200. The antibody concentration is lot specific.

The product is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at −20°C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
