Anti-MAP1LC3A Antibody

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody raised against MAP1LC3A (microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 alpha), supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent for autophagy research. This primary antibody recognizes the LC3A isoform implicated in autophagosome membrane formation and is validated for Western blot, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry applications.

The antibody is produced recombinantly and purified in 1xTBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA and 40% glycerol, preserved with 0.05% sodium azide. Cross-reactivity is established for human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting translational autophagy studies in cell lines, primary cultures, and tissue sections. The 100 ul aliquot is provided as a liquid format that supports direct dilution into standard antibody buffers.

Recommended applications include monitoring LC3 lipidation (LC3-I to LC3-II conversion) by Western blot, visualizing endogenous autophagosomes by immunofluorescence, profiling autophagic activity in tumor and neural tissue by immunohistochemistry, and quantifying LC3-positive populations by flow cytometry.
