Anti-Malaria (pLDH) Antibody

From the Antibodies.com range of malaria reagents, this primary antibody is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 directed against Plasmodium lactate dehydrogenase (pLDH), the metabolic enzyme widely used as a target in malaria rapid diagnostic tests. Supplied at 1 mg per vial as a purified, unconjugated monoclonal antibody, the reagent is intended for use in lateral flow immunoassays and ELISA, where it detects pan-pLDH expressed by the major human-infecting species, including Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium ovale and Plasmodium malariae. The antibody is produced in mouse ascites and purified by ion-exchange chromatography to ≥90–95% purity, then formulated in 10 mM phosphate buffered saline, pH 8.0, containing 50 mM NaCl and 0.1% sodium azide as preservative. Intended for research use only, the product should be stored short term at 2–8 °C and for longer term at −20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
