The MAGEF1 protein belongs to the melanoma antigen (MAGE) family, a group of genes originally identified through their expression in tumor cells and now studied for roles in cell cycle regulation and apoptosis. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the MAGEF1 antigen and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples, supplied as 100 µl in a single vial.

Polyclonal antibodies recognize multiple epitopes across MAGEF1, which can be useful when working with denatured targets or mapping expression patterns across different tissue types. The unconjugated format lets researchers pair it with the secondary detection system of their choice, whether HRP, fluorescent, or chromogenic, depending on the assay design. Because the reagent is reactive with human MAGEF1, it can support characterization in cell lines and primary tissue sections relevant to cancer biology and developmental studies.

For Western blot, standard SDS-PAGE separation followed by transfer to nitrocellulose or PVDF is recommended, with detection using a standard rabbit IgG secondary antibody. For IHC, antigen retrieval conditions and blocking steps should be optimized for the specific tissue type being examined. The 100 µl size is well suited to pilot experiments and small to mid-sized studies.
