Anti-MAGEA3 Antibody

The Antibodies.com anti-MAGEA3 polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum targeting the MAGE-A3 cancer-testis antigen. MAGEA3 belongs to the type I MAGE gene cluster on chromosome Xq28 and is normally restricted to immune-privileged germline tissues, but it is aberrantly re-expressed in melanoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and several other solid tumors, making it a focal target in tumor immunology and cancer vaccine research workflows.

Recommended applications include Western blot for protein-level confirmation of ectopic MAGEA3 expression in cell lysates and tumor samples, and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections to localize antigen-positive cells. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the MAGE-A3 sequence, which can improve detection sensitivity in tissues where antigen expression is heterogeneous or low. The unconjugated format gives researchers freedom to pair the primary with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-labeled secondary reagents of their choice.
