Anti-MAG Antibody

Prepared as a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, the Antibodies.com anti-MAG antibody recognizes myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG), a transmembrane immunoglobulin superfamily component produced by oligodendrocytes in the central nervous system and by Schwann cells in the peripheral nervous system, where it contributes to axon-glia contact and the maintenance of myelin sheaths. This 100 µl vial is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, giving laboratories a ready-to-dilute stock for immunoblotting workflows. The unconjugated antibody has been validated for Western blot and cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat MAG, supporting comparative studies of demyelinating disease models, investigations of anti-MAG peripheral neuropathy, and research into glial cell development and remyelination.
