This polyclonal antibody targets the mitotic spindle checkpoint protein MAD2L1 (Mitotic Arrest Deficient 2 Like 1), a core component of the spindle assembly checkpoint that monitors kinetochore-microtubule attachment and delays anaphase onset until chromosomes are correctly bi-oriented on the metaphase plate. Produced in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated IgG preparation in a 200 µl vial, the reagent is validated for western blot and immunofluorescence on human and mouse samples.

MAD2L1 is frequently studied in the context of cell cycle regulation, aneuploidy, chromosome instability, and tumor biology, where its dysregulation is associated with defective mitotic checkpoint fidelity in many cancers. Researchers use this polyclonal reagent to track MAD2L1 expression levels and its characteristic kinetochore localization during early mitosis. The unconjugated format offers flexibility to pair with user-selected secondary antibodies or to conjugate directly to fluorophores for multiplex imaging workflows. For long-term use, store at -20 °C in working aliquots to preserve activity and limit freeze-thaw damage to the IgG preparation.
