This rabbit-derived primary antibody recognizes endogenous MAD2L1 in human and mouse samples. MAD2L1, an approximately 24 kDa component of the mitotic checkpoint complex, helps prevent premature anaphase onset when kinetochores have not correctly engaged spindle microtubules. The antibody is useful for research into chromosome segregation, aneuploidy, chromosomal instability, tumor biology, and DNA-damage response.
Supplied by Antibodies.com as unconjugated rabbit IgG in a 100 µl vial, this polyclonal reagent is listed for Western blot and immunofluorescence. Researchers can use Western blot to compare MAD2L1 abundance in control and perturbed cell or tissue lysates, while immunofluorescence can reveal its localization in fixed cells throughout the mitotic cycle. The unconjugated format permits pairing with an HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-conjugated secondary reagent appropriate for the selected detection system. This product is for research use only and is not intended for clinical diagnosis, treatment, or in vivo administration.
