Anti-MAD2 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognises MAD2 (Mitotic Arrest Deficient 2, also annotated MAD2L1), a ~24 kDa core component of the spindle assembly checkpoint that restrains the anaphase-promoting complex until every kinetochore has attached to spindle microtubules. The unconjugated antibody is supplied in a 100 µl volume and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples, where it has been used to track checkpoint status, kinetochore localisation, and the CDC20-bound closed conformation of MAD2 in dividing cells. Polyclonal reactivity across multiple epitopes helps preserve signal in lysate-based detection and in fixed cell or tissue sections, and the unconjugated format leaves the choice of HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugation to the downstream assay.
