Polyclonal antibodies targeting the mannose-6-phosphate receptor (M6PR) provide a specific detection reagent for studying lysosomal enzyme trafficking and trans-Golgi sorting in human cells. Produced by Antibodies.com, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged in a 100 µl vial.

The reagent is intended for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows. Western blot detection allows confirmation of the receptor's expected protein band, while IHC supports visualization of M6PR localization in fixed tissue sections. As a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, multiple epitopes of the target are recognized, which is helpful when probing different processing or glycosylation states of the receptor.

Reactivity is reported against human M6PR. Mannose-6-phosphate receptors shuttle acid hydrolases from the trans-Golgi network to late endosomes and lysosomes, a pathway relevant to studies of lysosomal storage disorders, IGF2 binding, and intracellular protein sorting. The unconjugated format gives researchers flexibility to pair it with an HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-labelled secondary of their own choice.

Storage guidance: the glycerol-containing formulation permits storage at -20 °C in single-use aliquots, helping to limit freeze-thaw cycles on the stock; for short-term bench use, keep refrigerated. Sodium azide in the buffer acts as a preservative, so the antibody should not be added directly to live-cell preparations without prior dialysis or filtration.
